The world’s first football museum
23 November @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Did you know the North Hertfordshire Museum holds the collection from the World’s first football museum?
Come on down to a lunchtime talk to find out about Hitchin’s own Vic Wayling and how his passion for football gave our area the worlds first football museum. Discover how Vic assembled the collection from the great and good of the football world. Get up close and see some highlighted objects of local, national and international importance, and learn about how we look after, utilise and research the collection today.
The talk, given by Assistant Curator Matthew Platt, will last up to one hour with an opportunity for questions you may have about the collection.
Tea and coffee will be served at £1 per cup.
Bring your sandwiches with you!
Tickets are free, but donations are always welcome.
